Counselling Training Courses

Central Counselling & Training Service (CCTS) provides professional and accredited training courses in counselling and supervision, for those seeking to gain a Christ-centred and holistic approach to counselling.

Upcoming Courses:

Introduction to Christian Counselling (ACC/OCN Level 2)
A course for those who wish to understand a Biblical method of counselling and pastoral care, and to begin to develop their listening skills. This introductory course will also help those who are involved in various aspects of church life to increase their understanding of how people function and improve their interpersonal skills. The Introduction Course OCN Level 2 is recognised by the Association of Christian Counsellors, and is intended as preparation for the Certificate in Counselling (OCN Level 3).

Where: Central Hall, St. Mary Street, Southampton, SO14 1NF. 
When: One Friday evening and Saturday day per month, from March - June 2019. You will also need to allow approximately 25-30 additional hours over the course, for reading and completing written assignments.
Cost: £390. Includes a £60 non-returnable deposit.

Christian Counselling Model and Practice (ACC/OCN Level 3)
A course for those who wish to train for a significant role in Christian counselling and pastoral care. This course is recognised by the Association of Christian Counsellors, and is intended as preparation for the ACC recognised Diploma in Counselling.

Where: Central Hall, St. Mary Street, Southampton, SO14 1NF.  
When: The next course starts in Sept. 2019, and will run on a Monday/Friday evening and occasional Saturdays over three terms, finishing in July 2020. You will also need to allow additional time for reading and completing written assignments, and for personal counselling.
Cost: £1500. Includes a non-returnable deposit.
