With a brand-new state-funded primary school opening in Southampton in 2017, this is a great opportunity to get involved in something that's going to make a real difference to children's lives and to the local community.
Hope Community School will be the first mainstream Free School to open in Southampton, and will initially open with one reception class, growing each year to provide education for children aged 4-11 years. The school will be designated as of religious character, and it will be open to children of any or no faith.
The Principal Designate for the school has already been recruited, along with two reception class teachers who will join the team in September 2017.
The school are currently looking for the right people to fill some supplementary volunteer roles once the school opens. There will also be a need for people who are able to support curricular and extra-curricular activities at the shool, such as music, languages and sport, by sharing their skills. Could you offer an hour, half a day, or even a full day once a week or month, to help out? You can find out more about these volunteer opportunities on our Volunteers for Hope School page.
For more information about the school itself or to find out about recruitment or volunteer opportunities, please visit the school’s website or contact their team using the details found on the school's Contact Us page.
