A conference for church pastoral workers, organised by our counselling service, CCTS. Including time for worship, encouragement, teaching and prayer, the conference aims to resource those involved in pastoral work in their local church communities.
This year's conference will be run in partnership with the mental health charity ThinkTwice, and will have a particular focus on mental health training for those involved in prayer ministry or pastoral care in a church, looking at the topic of mental health from a Christian perspective.
The conference will include an overview of various types of mental health conditions, as well as practical guidance to help care for those experiencing those conditions. Sessions will include: a theology of mental health; depression and anxiety; eating disorders; PTSD; and suicide.
