Healing on the Streets

Outreach at Sholing

We want to see our local community transformed by the love of Jesus. We're involved in different projects that provide the opportunity to show God’s love to people in practical ways. We’d love for you to get involved, and we believe that every person has a valuable contribution they can make.

We have a team of puppeteers who make regular appearances at events and assemblies in local schools. We use puppets to share Bible stories and Christian teaching in a fun and engaging way. Our team is made up of both adults and children, and our offering appeals to all ages.

How to get involved: If you'd like to join our team, we always welcome volunteers! No experience is necessary. Simply email Karen Bangs via sholing@newcommunity.org.uk for more information.
How to book our team: If you'd like to book our team (free of charge) for a local event or school assembly, please email Karen Bangs via sholing@newcommunity.org.uk.

Baby Branch

Baby Branch provides clothing, toys and equipment for children aged 0-4 years.

Good-condition baby clothes and equipment are collected by the project, cleaned/laundered, and then given out to parents in need. The project's services can be accessed without a referral (everyone's welcome), and the project is also happy to work with health visitors, social workers or crisis agencies, and for them to collect items on behalf of clients.

Baby Branch is run by Hazel Cole, and primarily operates on the east side of Southampton.
