A New Primary School in the Heart of the City
New Community Network is the partner church of a brand new state-funded primary school in Southampton!
About the school:
Hope Community School will be Southampton’s first mainstream Free School, and will be a state-funded primary school for children aged 4-11 years. The school plans to open in September 2017, welcoming its first group of 60 children into two reception classes.
Hope Community School is sponsored by New Generation Schools Trust, who are establishing the school in recognition of the need for an additional educational choice in the city centre of Southampton. This new school will be designated as of religious character, and will be open to children of any or no faith.
New Community's link to the school:
New Community Network is the partner church to Hope Community School. We are committed to supporting the school and contributing to its Christian ethos. We also aim to enhance the life of the local community, for example by encouraging individuals to volunteer with the school.
In addition, our Central Hall premises will be the temporary site for the school for 2-3 years, until the facility on the permanent site on Chapel Road has been built.
Hope Community School also support our Tiny Treasures parent and toddler group, held at Central Hall.
