ASCEND Weekend Away

We're running a weekend away in March next year. Have you booked your place yet?

ASCEND is our weekend away at Runway's End Outdoor Centre in Aldershot, and is primarily aimed at those in the 18-30 years age bracket. The theme of the weekend will be: ‘Finding God in the unexpected’.

'He came to a certain place and camped for the night since the sun had set. He took one of the stones there, set it under his head and lay down to sleep. And he dreamed: A stairway was set on the ground and it reached all the way to the sky; angels of God were going up and going down on it.Jacob woke up from his sleep. He said, “God is in this place—truly. And I didn’t even know it!” He was terrified. He whispered in awe, “Incredible. Wonderful. Holy. This is God’s House. This is the Gate of Heaven.” (Genesis 28:10-12 & 16-17).

God is present. We may not realise it; but He is there. In every situation, every moment, every breath… He is present.

ASCEND is an opportunity to rediscover God’s ever-present nature in every aspect of our lives: our past, present and future. It's an opportunity to move above the continual and perpetual day-to-day and look deeply for God.

The weekend will consist of four sessions around the theme of ‘Finding God in the unexpected’. We will also enjoy meals together, with time to socialise and take part in a number of activities throughout the weekend. All accommodation, meals and transport wll be provided, with accommodation consisting of multiple ensuite rooms, with five beds per room.
