New Community network has many friends and partners overseas. Please find links below to further information or their own websites.
Beyond These Shores is the name we give to all New Community's involvement overseas. This area is coordinated by Allan Cox. We use the acronym SHORES to describe it:
- Support for Church and Ministry overseas
- Help for the Marginalised - community approaches to health, education & development
- Overseas Workers - sending, supporting & partnering
- Resources - books, cds & tapes
- Economic Empowerment - income generation for individuals, families & communities
- School of Ministries - training & equipping
We encourage an interest in what God is doing overseas and there are many opportunities for folk within New Community to travel overseas with a team serving the Church wherever they can. Often these trips are life changing experiences. On the second Monday of each month there is a gathering at Central Hall for all those interested in supporting work overseas to pray, and once a term a review of our activities.
