Finances

New Community Church is a fairly large organisation these days with a considerable financial turnover. We endeavour to handle the finances of the church with integrity and openness. Our accounts are professionally audited annually, and they are open to scrutiny by anyone wishing to see them. We aim to be good stewards of the money God gives us providing resources both locally and across the world.

We believe that all good things come from God and it is He who gives us the ability to earn money. All that we have belongs to Him.

We believe Scripture teaches regular, committed and generous giving. As part of our shared commitment to God, the Gospel and one another we would ask everyone in the church to consider what they should give on a regular committed basis.

Donations can be made through a standing order, via the offering bowl on a Sunday or sent to the church office at Central Hall. If you would like a 'standing order' form please contact the office.

We can recover tax from the government via the Gift Aid and Covenant schemes. To do this, taxpayers need simply to fill in a form, also available from the office. This is of great benefit to us as a church, enabling us to recoup thousands of pounds each year.

We call the first Sunday in each month Tithe Sunday. It is an opportunity to thank God for providing for us and to consider our giving to Him. On other Sundays we have specific offerings for various projects.

If you have any question about the church finances or would like to talk to someone about giving, do get in touch. We can also offer help in budgeting and financial counselling if required.

It is the ongoing generous giving of finance by church members that has enabled us to finance all the ministries and activities of the church.
