I have been a member of New Community Church since it started in 1975, apart from a 4 year period in the late seventies where I trained as a Chartered Accountant in South-East London. Since 1981 I have lived in Southampton and I’m now married and have two daughters (18 & 21). I worked in industry in Finance and IT in various industries (water fittings, house building, reverse osmosis and printing) until starting an IT business in 1997. Now I work part-time in that business, as well as working as a Financial Controller for a Web Design company, and one day a week for New Community Network working on IT & Telecoms. My hobbies are tropical fish keeping, vegetable gardening and classic cars – I own a 1961 Ford Consul Classic which I restored in 2002/03. I have been a Trustee of the church for over 15 years, mainly involved in finance, IT and staffing. Over this period I’ve seen various changes in the shape of the church including the purchase of Central Hall and the transition from Charity to Limited Company. |
