Child Protection Training

A message from New Community Kids Co-ordinator Emma Clewer, to all those who work with children or young people in any capacity throughout New Community:

New Community is running some essential Child Protection Training over the next few weeks. Although it may not be everyone's favourite topic it really is a vital one. We do need to be viligant whilst we are caring for other peoples children and this course will give us the tools to do so.

It will also provide those people working with children and young people at New Community who have not yet filled in a CRB form with the opportunity to do so - again, this is really important.

We know you are all really busy people and we are coming up to a hectic time of year but we really cannot stress the importance of attending this course and having an up-to-date CRB check.

There are 2 dates the course is running:

  • Thursday 27th November, 7-9pm @ Central Hall, Room 1
  • Tuesday 2nd December, 8-10pm at Ali Robins' house

Please can you sign up to one of these dates by registering with Elaine Davidson (023 8038 5121 or elained@newcommunity.org.uk). There will also be sign up sheets on the childrens registration desks on Sunday mornings.

Thanks once again.

Emma Clewer.
