Oasis Academies - Open Now!

It hardly seems possible that just 18 months from submitting our proposals to Southampton City Council, the two new Oasis Academies are now open to students.

Oasis HeadsOn Wednesday 3rd September, the new Academy staff began their induction and orientation under the guidance of the two Principals: Ian Golding (Oasis Academy Lord's Hill) and Ruth Johnson (Oasis Academy Mayfield), with the doors opening for students today, Wednesday 10th September.

The Oasis team, together with the senior Academy staff, have been working extremely hard to get everything ready, and refurbishment of the existing school buildings has rapidly been finished in time for the start of term.

The two Academy websites have been up and running for a while and are well worth a look, with information about each individual Academy and up to date news, as well as information on how to get involved and support the Academies.

Take a look for yourself at www.oasisacademylordshill.org and www.oasisacademymayfield.org.

oasisAt this busy time, it would be easy to forget how and why this process all began; but this journey of pain and perseverance was birthed out of a vision and desire to serve and invest in our local communities - being the message for generations of children and their parents. Now more than ever we need to get behind these Academies, supporting their staff, students and parents with our prayer and involvement.
