Billy and Caroline Developments

BillyCarolineOver the last three years, Billy and Caroline Kennedy have been working with the Pioneer network to help them transition from being a network of churches and associated ministries to a network of connected teams.

In the light of these developments, the nature of leadership required has changed to be one of facilitating the ongoing connection of these teams. Consequently Gerald Coates, the founder of Pioneer, will be stepping down from his role as team leader in February 2009.

Gerald and the National Churches Forum (the senior leadership team in Pioneer) have asked Billy and Caroline to continue their involvement in facilitating the ongoing transition of Pioneer. The role will require about one day a week of their time from September 2008.

There is no change in Billy and Caroline’s role in the leadership of New Community. Their commitment and passion is to continue to serve the church in Southampton to see it become all that God intends.

The Leadership Team and Trustees are happy to support Billy and Caroline in this role. We can see God’s leading in this and believe it will serve both New Community and the wider church scene in the UK.

Clive Wiseman, Chair of Trustees, New Community Network.
